New mobile app release September 2024

A major update has replaced the old mobile app with a brand-new version that's sleek and polished. The new app offers a much faster experience and a more modern look and feel, while still providing the same great functionality as before – only better in every way.

Regular updates will follow as we continue to deliver more features to enhance the app. We hope you enjoy the experience as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it for you.

Two phones-1

Home view

  • Access the home menu, featuring all expense types available for your organisation, by tapping the plus icon at the bottom of the screen. The new user interface includes customisable colours to match your branding.
  • For users with approval permissions, a bottom menu is available to view expenses and approval screens.
  • For users without approval permissions, this menu remains hidden. Simply swipe to submit or delete expenses and expense reports from the list view.

Expenses

  • A simple division and overview of expenses in the To-do, Submitted, and Done states:
  • To-do: Drafts of expenses and expense reports that have not yet been submitted.
  • Submitted: Expenses and expense reports that have been submitted to the approver. These will remain in this status until processed by the administrator and sent for payment.
  • Done: Expenses and expense reports that have been approved and are either scheduled for payment or have already been reimbursed.

Expense types

  • Receipt Expense: Updated with a fresh new user interface, but retaining the same functionality as before.
  • Split Expense: A new iteration allowing the addition of multiple expense categories, cost centres, etc., for the same receipt within the same expense.
  • Mileage: Refreshed with a new user interface, but with the same functionality as before.
  • Per Diem (Subsistence Allowance): Updated with a fresh new user interface, while keeping the same functionality.
  • Simple Suggestions: Based on recent inputs, relevant suggestions will appear below input fields.
  • Coming Soon: Meal benefits with a new user interface, but with the same functionality as before. Until this is live in the new mobile apps, affected users can access this functionality via the web version of our product.
  • End of Life: Fuel benefits will no longer be available in the mobile apps. Affected users can access this functionality via the web version.

Expense reports

  • Simply submit an expense without adding it to an expense report.
  • Expense reports can be used to group multiple expenses if needed, with a new user interface but overall the same functionality.

Approval

  • A brand-new approval flow in the app allows you to review the most crucial information directly in the app's interface, eliminating the need to check the generated PDF report.
  • A simple division and overview of expenses awaiting approval in "To-do" with expenses to approve, sorted in a timeline or by employee and those already approved in tab "Approved".
  • Easily review expenses and approve them all at once in a report, or approve individual expenses one by one, while toggling between approving or rejecting expenses with just a few clicks.
  • A clear flow to add a rejection reason when rejecting an expense or expense report.
  • Simply swipe to approve or reject expenses and expense reports from the list view.

Settings

  • Basic settings are available in the mobile apps under the setting in the side menu.
  • Coming soon: Manage all settings for your account and the mobile app with ease. Until then recommend users to use the full version of settings in the web version of the product.

Notifications

  • The basic functionality of the app's notification history can be found under the bell icon in the Home View.
  • If a user belongs to more than one organisation, notifications will prompt them to connect an emailed receipt to a specific organisation.
  • Push notifications will be sent from the app to update users and approvers on actions required and information to read.
